Prof. Dr. Luciane Stallivieri at Univille: Strengthening Internationalization

Univille strengthened its academic internationalization agenda by welcoming, on Tuesday (July 16), renowned professor Luciane Stallivieri, internationally recognized for her contributions to the field. Invited by the International Affairs Office and the Office of the Vice-Rector for Research and Graduate Studies, Luciane shared her extensive knowledge and experience with faculty members from the university’s master’s and doctoral programs. She also met with Rector Alexandre Cidral, Vice-Rector Therezinha Novais, Vice-Rector for Research and Graduate Studies Prof. Paulo França, and International Affairs Advisor Dr. Juliana Bustamante.

“Internationalization should not be merely a department within an institution, but a mindset. Everyone has to breathe it,” Luciane stated during her visit.

She is regarded as one of Brazil’s leading authorities on internationalization, with an extensive academic record that includes numerous publications and participation in international conferences.

“Professor Luciane’s visit to our campus reflects how internationalization is not only a major investment, but also a strategic priority for our institution,” highlighted the Vice-Rector.

During her lecture for faculty members from Univille’s graduate programs (stricto sensu), Luciane addressed, among other topics, strategies for attracting international talent, expanding interinstitutional partnerships, internationalizing academic careers, and strengthening Univille’s global presence.

In addition to the lecture, Luciane Stallivieri led an interactive workshop, where participants discussed case studies, exchanged ideas, and explored tailored strategies for implementation in their academic careers and at Univille.

“The internationalization process facilitates interaction and collaboration among researchers from different countries through strategic partnerships and alliances. This not only enhances the quality of research, but also increases the volume and impact of scientific production, as well as the dissemination and sharing of the knowledge generated,” Luciane emphasized.

Univille has an International Affairs Office, responsible for representing the university globally and establishing partnerships with foreign institutions to promote curriculum internationalization, involving students, faculty, and researchers in teaching, research, and community outreach activities.

Currently, the university offers academic mobility programs, internationalization at home initiatives, international internships, short-term programs, and international research projects.
